Montgomery Prepares for Enhanced Services with New ERP Software Transition

 

Montgomery, IL – The Village of Montgomery is excited to announce an important upgrade to its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), a software system that helps manage and integrate core processes. The Village is set to begin the transition from the previous systems to the new software beginning November 4, 2024. This transition to a modern ERP system, provided by BS&A, is a significant step towards improving operational efficiency and service quality across the Village.

 

The first division to transition to the new BS&A Software is the Utility Billing Division, which is very excited about the advantages of the new software. “This transition has been a yearlong highly anticipated process, as it takes several different software systems and consolidates our business operations into one system allowing us to enhance efficiencies for both our customers and staff,” says Director of Finance Jennifer Milewski.

 

What does this mean for residents and Village of Montgomery water customers?

 

Unchanged Payment Process: Residents are encouraged to continue making payments as usual. Secure online payments will remain available through the Payment Service Network (PSN), accessible at montgomeryil.org or by calling 877-885-7968 (automated payments) or 866-917-7368 (live assistance).
Potential Temporary Delays: During the transition period, there may be brief software downtimes affecting the Village’s internal operations. Although payments will still be processed, some delays in payment posting may occur. The Village thanks residents for their patience as we work to minimize any inconvenience.
Transition Timeline: The first phase of the transition is expected to take approximately seven days. By November 15, Village staff will have completed training on the new system modules, enabling seamless integration across all Village operations.

The transition is an ongoing process, and full integration is expected to take several weeks. The Village of Montgomery appreciates the community’s understanding and support during this transition.
