Bulls Report by Jack Flowers

Well the trade deadline has come and gone, and the Bulls made three major trades that saw them pivot and begin to rebuild. Trading Players like Cobe White, Ayo Dosunmu , and Nikola Vučević and in return one player that we can build around and that is guard Jayden Ivy. The Bulls also got seven second round picks to add to the lost draft capital that the Bulls Front office wasted in acquiring Lonzo Ball, Zach Levine and Nikola Vucevic that led to no playoff appearances and a whole bunch of disappointment for Bulls Fans. With no player left on the roster over 6foot9 the Bulls will have to figure out how to compete in the last 30 games to at least finish with respectability. With moves like this the Reinsdorf family needs to begin to address cleaning out the front office and parting ways with Billie Donavan who has not been able to develop young talent and continues to produce losing seasons. It has been 14 years since the Bulls last made the Eastern Conference Finals and 28 years since our last championship. With no clear plan and putting a bunch of no talent hacks on the floor who cannot play defense then why should we tune in. I get a better experience watching College and High School Basketball. With 30 Games left in the season the Bulls will look to add the current players that have been added and try to find a formula to get through the rest of the season. Coach Donavan needs to try and make his magic happen and focus on taking what he has been given and focus on the final playoff push. Stay Tunes Bulls Fans!

North Side Report by Martin Flowers

Pitchers are set to report February 11th and going into the 2026 Campaign the Cubs strength appears to be their starting pitching. Coming off Last Season Playoff appearance and winning 92 games the Cubs came up short against the Brewers in the NLCS losing in five games. The Focus was to improve the starting rotation and build assets in the pull ben. So, in this article we will look at the projected Cubs started pitching. Leading off is Mathew Boyd he went 14 and 8 and made an all-star game appearance. Boyd is a savvy old veteran who uses a mix of off-speed pitches and focuses on the strike zone to get hitters out. He needs to repeat last season’s performance if the Cubs are going to make run at going further into the playoffs. The second pitcher in the Bubs rotation will be Cade Horton, a young power pitcher who went 11 and 4 in his Rookie season but was lost to injury for the final month of the season and the playoffs. Next up is newly acquired Edard Cabera a power pitcher who has had trouble staying healthy of Cabera can stay heathy for this season than anything he brings to the table will only add to more wins and better positioning for late innings for our bull pen.

Bears End Historic Season by Martin Flowers

Bears fell short against the Rams 20 to 17 in overtime. The Bears were driving at the end of the game and Quaterback Caleb Williams threw an Interception that allowed the Rams to convert a field goal ending this historic season. Although the Bears fell short in their quest to return to the Super Bowl, that did make a Giant step in going from worst to first in one season under Ben Johnson. With the offseason upon us now the Bears will position themselves to reload for the 2026 season. With eight draft picks coming up in the draft and with about 40 million in cap space after redoing key veterans’ contracts. The Bears will focus on the Defensive Side of the Ball. The need in this offseason is to add depth on the Defensive Line at Tackle and add an edge rusher. In secondary Bears need to lock up a few players like Brisker, Wright and Byrad to lock up the Secondary. On the Offensive Side of the Ball Bears need to lock up the left tackle spot and focus on continuing growing Caleb Williams and exploring new opportunities that this offensive gives them in the run and pass game. Focus on developing young Offensive Line and focus on locker room development. Looking at the offseason there will be allot of surprises and changes coming as we continue to push to get back the Super Bowl and focus on improving last season huge step in the right direction.
