Avoid frozen pipes this winter
Frozen pipes
As temperatures drop, frozen pipes become a serious risk, potentially leading to costly damage such as flooding, mold and structural issues. A small crack in a pipe can leak up to 250 gallons of water per day.
To help protect your home or business this winter:
✅ Plan Ahead: Insulate exposed pipes, seal air leaks and disconnect garden hoses.
✅ Take Precautions During Cold Spells: Let faucets drip, keep thermostats consistent and open cabinet doors to allow heat to reach pipes.
✅ Plan for Travel: Set your thermostat no lower than 55°F and ask a neighbor to check your home.
If your pipes freeze, it’s important to act quickly and safely to prevent further damage. For more tips and information, visit our website.
