
SEND AURORANS IN THE MILITARY GIFTS FROM HOME
Receiving mail from your hometown while on active military duty is a welcomed surprise. For those stationed away from home during the holiday season, that surprise is even more special.
The City of Aurora's annual Gifts from Home program honors active military personnel from Aurora by providing them with a holiday package, including a gift card to use for online purchase and a personalized letter.

To ensure timely delivery for the holidays, the deadline to submit information is Monday, November 11, 2024.

THIS WEEKEND: The City of Lights Film Festival!
The second annual City of Lights Film Festival will take place THIS WEEKEND, on November 8-9, throughout Downtown Aurora!
Doors open at 6:30 P.M. on Friday, November 8 at Two Brothers Roundhouse! Ticket holders will receive a single free draft beer or soft drink, with programming beginning at 7:15 P.M. in the Tavern Room. Panel discussions will take place with local filmmakers and creators, as well as the screening of the critically-acclaimed All Happy Families.
Saturday, November 9 features a variety of short, feature, documentary, and narrative films at three different locations downtown. Showings begin at 11 A.M. and run throughout the day! Viewers can vote for their favorite film to receive the festival's Audience Award. At 8 P.M., The Venue will host the closing night ceremony, featuring a conversation with Cole Bennett, founder of Lyrical Lemonade! Bennett will also be on hand to present the first-ever City of Lights Film Festival Best In Music Video Award!
