Help safeguard your personal information and prevent identity theft by taking advantage of the Oswego Police Department's free shred event on April 5, organized by the Oswego Police Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (OCPAAA) in partnership with the Rotary Club of Oswego.
Beginning at 9 a.m. at the Oswego Public Works Facility, up to three (3) large boxes full of papers will be accepted per car. The event ends at noon or when the shred trucks are full. The Oswego Public Works Facility is located at 100 Theodore Drive in Oswego. Learn more.

Lace up and take on the challenge! The I Raced the Law 5K is back on April 13, raising funds for the Oswego Public Safety Cadets Post #1833 to support training, equipment and lowering the cost for participation in the 2025 Public Safety Cadets Summer Showdown.

2026 Regional Transportation Plan

Have you ever been stuck in traffic? Or had difficulties finding a safe way to walk to your neighborhood store? The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) wants to hear YOUR feedback on where our transportation system needs improvement. They are developing the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan, which will identify improvements in roadway, transit, bike and pedestrian transportation. The plan will recommend how funding should be allocated for transportation projects. Share how you get around and ways travel can be more convenient by completing the questionnaire.
