Aurora’s crowning event of Black History Month once again provides scholarships to youth and honors community leaders.
Tonight, the African America Heritage Advisory Board (AAHAB) will host an exceptional evening of empowerment and excellence. The 19th Annual Heritage Dinner begins at 6PM at the Matrix Club. College-bound high school seniors will receive scholarships and distinguished community advocates will be recognized, including Michael Pegues as LEADER OF THE YEAR.

Now Available: Neighborhood Festival Funding Grants!
Festival Funding Available
The City of Aurora is excited to announce that applications for 2025 Neighborhood Festival Funding Grants are now available!
The program offers grants for up to $1,000 to be used for support services at public community events, including rental of equipment, rental of tables or chairs, general liability insurance, security or emergency personnel, and other similar needs.
To submit your application, please visit www.aurora.il.us/NFF. The review of submitted applications begins on April 1 and will continue on a rolling basis. The deadline to submit applications is October 1.
