Well, the 2024 Season has come to an end and two local teams made it Down State in 5A Geneva took on perennial power East St. Louis and played a tough game coming up Short 49- 28. All Season long Geneva played with grit and toughness thank you for a great season.
In the other State Final in class 7 Batavia made to the finals and was paired with perennial power MT. Carmel who was going for a record 16th championship. Playing in their 2nd State Championship game in four years this was a rematch of the 2022 season and Batavia played a strong game but came up short 54 to 34 and Mt. Carmel picked up a record state championship. Thank you to Batavia for the great season.
Aurora University travelled to Hope College in their 2nd round matchup and played a tough game but fell short 49 to 21 Aurora University made its 4th trip to the Division 3 playoffs and coach Bebee will be returning a strong junior class that will mean Aurora University will be reloading with another strong recruiting class to go along with the Veteran Leadership they have built thank you Aurora for a Great Season.
