🇮🇹The new Italian restaurant, GIARDINO TRATTORIA & PIZZERIA, 12 N. River St., will offer a family-friendly and garden-inspired atmosphere, reflecting its name, “Giardino,” which means “garden” in Italian.
🍕🍝🥗Giardino Aurora's menu will showcase wood-fired pizzas crafted using traditional methods and fresh ingredients. In addition to pizzas, the restaurant will feature a wide range of Italian dishes, with a focus on fresh, hand-made pasta prepared daily in-house. Guests can expect classic Italian flavors, from hearty bolognese to eggplant parmesan, as well as a selection of antipasti, salads and traditional entrees.
Leading the culinary team are two head chefs with extensive expertise in international cuisine:
✅ Chef Ruben de la Cruz brings a passion for seafood and Italian cooking, honed over years working in top dining establishments, including Hugo’s Frog Bar and La Briola Cafe.
✅ Chef Martin Balderas has over two decades of experience blending traditional Asian and European flavors, and is dedicated to using locally sourced ingredients and supporting sustainable farming.
❗️❗️2 OF 3 RESTAURANTS OPENED: Giardino is one of three restaurants JH Hospitality Group has developed on the first floor of the renovated historic Hobbs Building at Galena Boulevard and River Street. Leilani Asian Fusion has already opened in one of the other suites, at the corner of the intersection. Giardino Trattoria & Pizzeria will be the second. A third restaurant, which will feature a French Creole menu, is planned for the third suite.
